HANDWRITING QUESTIONS: SHORT PARAGRAPHS


  9. Is the writing legible when the student writes a short paragraph (if age appropriate)?  If short-term memory or organizational skills are weak,  paragraph writing may be difficult. Paragraph writing requires retrieval of facts, organization, remembering the multiple facts, and writing them.
a. Does he/she take longer to write the sentences than expected?
b. Does he/she space the letters and words correctly on the line?
c. Does the spelling maintain its correctness?
d. Is the grammar, punctuation, etc. correct? 

If these are problem areas, address each one.
